Da Nang launches Workers' Month 2026
Da Nang - The Labor Federation coordinates with the City Department of Home Affairs to organize the launching ceremony of the Action Month on OSH and Workers' Month 2026.
80 units and businesses participate in the launching ceremony
On April 24, the Da Nang City Labor Federation coordinated with the City Department of Home Affairs to organize the launching ceremony of the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Workers' Month 2026.
Attending the launching ceremony were city leaders, departments and agencies, the City Labor Federation and trade union levels, leaders of units and businesses, and more than 800 workers from 80 units and businesses representing the labor force throughout the city.
Through activities to launch a peak period of propaganda, raising awareness and awareness of all levels, sectors, localities, employers, employees in agencies, units, businesses and all people in the city about implementing OSH work.
As well as taking care of the lives and health of workers and implementing the theme of the Action Month on OSH "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age" and Workers' Month 2026 "Innovation, creativity, and improving labor productivity".
Accordingly, Da Nang city focuses on deploying many practical response activities towards grassroots levels, directly solving issues of concern to workers and laborers.
Businesses improve labor conditions, strengthen the management of machinery and equipment to ensure labor safety and hygiene, and take measures to control risks to labor safety and hygiene, and limit labor accidents.
City functional sectors strengthen inspection of the implementation of regulations on occupational safety and health, and strictly handle violations.
Many activities towards workers
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: In Workers' Month 2026, the City Labor Federation guides trade unions at all levels on key contents aimed at workers.
Specifically, organizing the "May Dialogue" Program and the "Trade Union Members Contributing Opinions to Building Vietnam Trade Unions in the New Era" Forum; the "Thank you to Workers" Program and caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; the "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" Day.
The peak month promotes the movement of innovation and creativity, digital initiatives, improving labor productivity; organizes the peak month of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; introducing the development of party members and workers; organizing the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1st and propaganda about the working class and trade union organizations.
Along with that, the City Labor Federation organized more than 10 outstanding activities, taking workers as the center, towards grassroots levels, thereby, aiming to best care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
At the launching ceremony, the Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 26 collectives and individuals who had outstanding achievements in occupational safety and health in 2025; The City Labor Federation was authorized to award the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 5 collectives with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2025.
The City Labor Federation presented 20 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances (the gifts are among a total of 1,000 gifts to support workers on Workers' Month 2026); presented 16 Trade Union Warm Houses (out of a total of 60 Trade Union Warm Houses for union members in 2026).
