According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Nam - Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV) - occupational safety and health are always of particular concern and direction to the Group's leaders, identified as the top and consistent task in the Group's production and business process.

From the Party Committee - Member Council and operating agencies of the Group, Trade Unions, Youth Unions to units directly under the Group have issued Resolutions, Directives, Action Programs and guiding documents on strengthening the implementation of measures on occupational safety and health.

Regarding safety work management: The Group has paid attention to and well controlled risks, especially paying attention to ventilation and mine gas control, mine pressure, water leakage prevention exploration, disaster prevention and control - search and rescue, and strict equipment management. Automatic air monitoring systems and modern mechanized equipment have significantly reduced the number of fatal workplace accidents (TNLĐ) compared to the same period in 2024.

However, the Group realizes that the risks of unsafety are still latent, requiring stronger and more drastic changes in management methods.

Responding to the Action Month on OSH - Workers' Month, TKV identifies the core goal as: "Maximally reduce fatal workplace accidents and prevent type I technical incidents". To realize this goal, TKV implements the following breakthrough solution groups:

First, digital transformation and modernization of safety management: Closely following the theme of 2026, TKV promotes the application of information technology in identifying and early warning of risks. Focusing on automating production lines and safety technical management using specialized software such as human and equipment positioning systems, smart surveillance camera systems and modern air measuring sensors, focusing on risky stages of labor safety at key production locations.

Second, implement discipline and operating discipline with the "6 clear" principle: Enhance the role and responsibility of the head through a control mechanism: Clear people - Clear tasks - Clear time - Clear results - Clear responsibilities - Clear authority. Especially resolutely suspend production positions when they do not ensure safety conditions in accordance with regulations.
