Previously, the valve stage was done manually, this stage took about 52 seconds, and labor productivity was limited because each worker could only operate one machine. After applying the initiative, one worker could simultaneously operate 2 machines, the completion time of the stage was reduced to 47 seconds/product.

Trade unions proactively develop plans to organize creative labor movements

According to Mr. Le Van Quyet, Chairman of the Trade Union of May 19 MTV Co., Ltd., the company is assigned the task of producing and supplying military equipment to serve officers and soldiers throughout the force, and at the same time participating in production and business to serve the people's market. In the context of increasingly high requirements for product quality, delivery progress and production and business efficiency, the company identifies promoting the movement of initiative and technical improvement as one of the key and consistent tasks.

Every year, the company's grassroots Trade Union develops plans to organize creative labor emulation movements, promote initiatives, and technical improvements to be widely deployed to all union members and workers. Thanks to that, the number of initiatives and technical improvements has increased through emulation campaigns, focusing on the following areas: Improving the production line for military uniforms; optimizing cutting, sewing, and product completion processes; saving raw materials, reducing losses; applying new technologies to management and production.

According to Mr. Quyet, practice shows that there are many initiatives with high profit value, contributing to improving labor productivity from 10-20% in some stages; helping to reduce production labor, which means reducing production costs, saving hundreds of millions of VND each year; improving working conditions, reducing labor intensity for workers.

“Some typical initiatives have been widely applied throughout the company and have the potential to be replicated, typically among them are initiatives to research and improve the sewing product stage from existing equipment to perform some automatic sewing stages on the same equipment; initiative on saving materials and raw materials of Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Hoa” - Mr. Le Van Quyet said.

To encourage the creative initiative movement, commendation and encouragement work is promptly organized by the government and the trade union. The General Director's Board of Directors of the company and leaders of units commended individuals and collectives with typical initiatives, linking the results of initiatives with emulation evaluation and considering the title "For National Security" annually. Grassroots trade unions also coordinate to organize commendation, reward and honor creative workers.
