Quang Ninh is determined to control labor safety risks well

Speaking in response to the launching ceremony of Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (ATVSLĐ) in 2026 organized by the Central Steering Committee of the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in coordination with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Bui Van Khang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee informed about the socio-economic situation in the area in 2025, development orientation for 2026 and the following years. Accordingly, in the new phase, Quang Ninh is positioned as a dynamic growth pole, a modern development center of the North, with a solid economic foundation, advanced management capacity and superior implementation capacity; and at the same time is a strategic area integrating sea - island - border - urban - heritage, playing the role of gateway connecting the country with Northeast Asia and ASEAN.

The province aims to become a modern marine economic center, a high-quality heritage tourism center, a center for innovation, science and technology and digital transformation of the region, in which the private economy is an important driving force, science and technology and innovation are the foundation, and digital transformation is the main development method.

Quang Ninh is also positioned as a model of constructive government, modern governance, high enforcement discipline, strongly shifting from management to service, taking development efficiency and the level of satisfaction of people and businesses as a measure; is a locality leading in institutional reform, testing new policies, and perfecting the model of green economic development, digital economy and circular economy.

With a long-term vision, Quang Ninh strives to become a comprehensive, modern, sustainable development center, with international competitiveness, playing a leading role, growth engine and solid defense and security lines in the Northeast region of the Fatherland, contributing to realizing the country's development goals by 2045.

Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the Action Month on OSH 2026 with the theme "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age" and Workers' Month with the theme "Vietnamese workers innovate and improve labor productivity" have set new, higher, and more comprehensive requirements for occupational safety and health assurance.

Quang Ninh is a developed industrial and service province; the cradle of the Vietnamese working class, with the tradition of "Discipline and Unity" - the core values that nurture the bravery, will and sense of responsibility of generations of mining workers. In the new development context, the requirement to ensure labor safety and hygiene is becoming increasingly urgent.

In that spirit, Quang Ninh province is committed to leading and directing the strict implementation of regulations on occupational safety and health; promoting the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in implementing new growth models, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) in early risk monitoring and warning; bringing machinery and gradually automating and mechanizing, reducing manual labor in dangerous and hazardous environments; thereby minimizing labor accidents; and at the same time continuing to promote the role of trade union organizations, building a culture of occupational safety and health, and caring for workers' lives.
