Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi - Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee - assessed that in the past time, occupational safety and health in the city has had many positive changes. The awareness of employers and employees has been increasingly improved; working conditions have been gradually improved.

In addition, activities to care for union members and workers continue to be effectively implemented. According to Mr. Khoi, these activities clearly show the concern and sharing of all levels, sectors and the whole society towards workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, contributing to creating motivation for workers to feel secure in their work and stick with the business for a long time.

To effectively implement the Action Month and Workers' Month, city leaders requested departments, branches, localities, businesses and workers to synchronously implement solutions: strictly comply with legal regulations; strengthen propaganda, inspection, and supervision; care for the lives and protect the rights of workers; proactively prevent risks, build a safe and sustainable working environment...
