THANH TUẤN (báo lao động) 29/05/2026 12:01 (GMT+7)

Gia Lai - Mr. Luong Trong Khoi felt warm at the sharing and encouragement of the Trade Union for workers.

Severe health loss after the accident

In the afternoon of May 28, the Trade Union of Thong Nhat Ward coordinated with the grassroots Trade Union of Bien Ho Tea Company to visit, encourage and provide support to union members who suffered labor accidents and are in difficult circumstances.

This is a practical and meaningful humanitarian activity in response to Workers' Month and Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.

The working delegation visited the family of Mr. Luong Trong Khoi, a coffee grower and caretaker at Bien Ho Tea Company.

Ms. Truong Thi My Le - Chairwoman of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union directly presented support of 2 million VND, and at the same time cordially inquired about the health and shared the difficulties in Mr. Khoi's family's life.

It is known that Mr. Khoi suffered a work accident in 2010 with a disability rate of 31%. Although the accident happened many years ago, the sequelae left behind still seriously affect his health, working ability as well as daily life of him and his family.

Sharing at the visit, Ms. Truong Thi My Le expressed her appreciation for the spirit of overcoming difficulties and striving to rise up of workers.

Continue to be a support for the family

The Trade Union encouraged Mr. Khoi to continue to maintain his will and optimistic spirit to overcome difficulties, stabilize his life and continue to be a support for his family.

Receiving attention from the Trade Union organization right at his home, Mr. Luong Trong Khoi emotionally shared: "The accident from 2010 caused my health to decline, and my family's life faced many difficulties.

Today, being visited, encouraged and given gifts of support by Trade Union officials at home, I am very touched and warm-hearted. This is a great source of spiritual encouragement for my family to have more motivation to overcome difficulties.

Immediately after the accident in 2010, the company also promptly implemented insurance regimes according to the provisions of law.

In the coming time, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union will continue to closely coordinate with the Board of Directors of the company to monitor Mr. Khoi's life situation, and at the same time create conditions to arrange jobs suitable to his actual health condition so that he can feel secure in working and production.

Previously, at the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union and accompanying units including BIDV Bank Gia Lai Branch and Truong Sinh Company presented 14 gifts to union members in particularly difficult circumstances.

Each gift is worth 1.5 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and gifts worth 500 thousand VND.

The gifts, although not of great material value, have profound spiritual significance, adding motivation for union members to overcome difficulties and rise up in life.
