Bringing Trade Union Meals to more than 200,000 union members in Hai Phong City

Commemorating the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026) and celebrating the success of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, many grassroots trade unions in Hai Phong simultaneously organized the "Trade Union Meal" program with meals of higher value than usual, showing practical concern for workers.

At Thanh Dong Ward Trade Union, the Trade Union Meal was organized immediately after the conference announcing the decision to establish the grassroots trade union of AJ International Nutrition Joint Stock Company and admitting 105 new union members. The Trade Union Meal is worth 100,000 VND/portion, an increase of 70,000 VND/portion compared to normal days.

The warm atmosphere of the Trade Union Meal also spread at Sees Vina Co., Ltd. (Tu Ky commune) with 2,288 union members and workers. With a value of 72,000 VND/portion, the menu is prepared thoughtfully, diverse and nutritious. Saint-Gobain Bac Viet Nam Construction Materials Co., Ltd. with a Trade Union Meal worth 150,000 VND/person - among the highest in Hai Phong. Mr. Luu Trung Bo - Chairman of the company's Trade Union - said that 100% are union members. The meal allowance currently applied is 45,000 VND/portion and adds instant noodles and coffee for the night shift. According to the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, to date, more than 200,000 union members and workers in the area have registered to participate in the "Trade Union Meal" program.

The program is implemented from July 15 - August 31. Through this, Trade Union Meals become an activity with humanistic meaning, contributing to consolidating the trust of union members and workers in the Trade Union organization.
