Hai Phong Trade Union spreads the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source" among union members and workers
Hai Phong - The City Labor Federation is implementing many practical activities to care for union members who are people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services.
Practical care, gratitude with responsibility
To celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), the Hai Phong City Labor Federation is implementing many practical activities to show gratitude to people with meritorious services to the revolution, and at the same time take care of the lives of union members who are relatives of policy families.
Through review, in 2026, the whole city has 7,514 union members eligible for visits and gifts. Of which, 508 union members are wounded soldiers, biological children of martyrs and 7,006 union members are biological children of wounded soldiers.
Accordingly, union members who are wounded soldiers and children of martyrs are supported with 500,000 VND/person, while union members who are children of wounded soldiers receive 300,000 VND/person. The total budget for this care activity is more than 2.3 billion VND.
In addition, the City Labor Federation coordinated with the City Veterans Association to give gifts and support 10 families of martyrs and wounded soldiers with a total budget of 500 million VND, contributing to sharing difficulties and encouraging families to continue to promote revolutionary traditions.
Compared to 2025, the number of union members eligible for care has increased from 6,759 to 7,514 people, equivalent to an increase of more than 11%. Not only expanding the scope of support, gratitude activities also show the increasingly close attention of the Trade Union organization to union members who are relatives of people with meritorious services.
Each gift given not only carries material value but also sends the feelings, responsibility and gratitude of the Trade Union organization to those who have contributed and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

Journey to the source, fostering revolutionary traditions
In parallel with activities to care for union members, the working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation organized incense and flower offerings to commemorate heroic martyrs at many "red addresses" in the Central provinces, including the National Special Historical Relic Site of Nga Ba Dong Loc, Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, National Martyrs' Cemetery of Road 9 and the National Special Relic Site of Quang Tri Citadel.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, members of the working delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers, expressing deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

The journey to the source is not only an activity to show gratitude to previous generations but also an opportunity to educate revolutionary traditions, arouse patriotism, national pride and sense of responsibility in the team of trade union officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers.
Through this series of meaningful activities, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation continues to affirm its role as a reliable support for union members and workers; and at the same time spread the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude", contributing to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, creating a foundation for sustainable business development and Hai Phong city to become increasingly civilized and modern.
