Glory to Vietnam is the motivation to continue to contribute

Before the Vinh Quang Vietnam 2026 program, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper had an interview with Mr. Nguyen Huy Phuong - Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, about the significance of the Academy being honored as well as the unit's contributions to the cause of training and developing the country's music scene.

Sir, what are your feelings when the Vietnam National Academy of Music is honored at the Vinh Quang Viet Nam 2026 program?

- First of all, I respectfully thank the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Lao Dong Newspaper for organizing the program to honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

This is a source of motivation for units and individuals in many fields to continue to strive and contribute to the development of the country.

I am really touched when the unit is honored. This is a worthy recognition for nearly 70 years of building and developing a united and constantly striving collective.

With its position as the leading music training institution in the country, the Academy has trained thousands of artists, lecturers, and educators, providing high-quality human resources for theaters, training institutions, television stations and many organizations operating in the field of performing arts.

In nearly 70 years, many artists and lecturers of the Academy have been awarded noble titles by the State such as People's Artist, Meritorious Artist, People's Teacher, Meritorious Teacher.

In 2015, the Academy was honored to be awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order, recognizing its great contributions to the cause of training and developing Vietnamese music.

This is an important milestone, affirming the achievements that many generations of officials, lecturers and students have painstakingly nurtured.

What more would you like to share about the significance of the Academy being honored at Vinh Quang Viet Nam 2026?

- The Academy's honor is very consistent with the policy of enhancing the position of culture in the current period, in which music plays an important role.

This is also associated with the direction of developing the cultural industry, promoting the value of culture in socio-economic development according to the Party and State's policies.

Honoring a music training institution, a unit operating in the field of culture and arts, shows the appropriate attention and assessment of the role of culture and art in the sustainable development of the country.

This is not only the pride of the Academy but also a great source of encouragement for the team working in training, research and artistic creation to continue to contribute in the coming time.
