Honoring excellent students, adding motivation for Da Nang workers' children
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - said that on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Da Nang City Labor Federation has just organized a ceremony to honor and commend students who are children of workers, civil servants, and laborers with outstanding achievements in their studies in the 2025-2026 school year.
On this occasion, the Da Nang City Labor Federation allocated nearly 490 million VND to award 437 scholarships to students. Each scholarship includes 1 million VND in cash, certificates and a practical gift to encourage children to overcome difficulties and rise up; and also symbolicly awarded sets of English reading and learning markers to children of union members in difficult circumstances to support them to study better. A new point of this year's program is that students also participate in a picnic program, experiencing real-life activities at Mikazuki Water Park in Da Nang.
Through team games and outdoor exchange activities, students have had relaxing and healthy entertainment moments after a year of hard work. The spacious and modern space of the water park has helped them relieve stress and recharge positive energy before entering the new school year. Group sports games are also skillfully integrated to encourage the initiative and team spirit of each student.
Besides the entertainment goal, this picnic activity also helps children increase confidence, connect friendships and accumulate more necessary life skills. Many students from worker families with different circumstances quickly got acquainted, shared learning stories and participated in fun challenges together. Being independent in a collective picnic environment is also a good opportunity for children to practice communication skills and sensitivity in handling situations.
On behalf of the outstanding students honored, Than Thi Thuy Tram (12/6 class student, Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, daughter of union member Tang Thi Kim Khuyen, Rieker Vietnam Shoe Company) expressed her feelings: "For us, each award today is not only recognition for our own learning efforts, but also a great source of encouragement for us to continue striving. We feel very lucky to grow up in the love of our parents, the dedicated teaching of teachers and especially the concern of leaders at all levels and the City Trade Union organization.
