Da Nang - Commemorating the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, An Khe Ward Trade Union has organized many practical activities for workers.

An Khe Ward Trade Union, Da Nang said on July 27 that it had just organized a program to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), reviewing the glorious tradition of the Trade Union organization, commending typical collectives and implementing many activities to care for union members and workers.

Attending the program were Standing Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation Le Van Dai, along with leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, representatives of departments, branches, unions and a large number of trade union officials, union members, and workers.

At the ceremony, Chairman of An Khe Ward Trade Union Hoang Bach Tung reviewed the 97-year journey of construction and development of the Vietnam Trade Union, and affirmed that the Ward Trade Union will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, taking union members and workers as the center, improving the quality of representation, care and protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee Phan Tan Dung acknowledged the results achieved by the Ward Trade Union, especially the spirit of proactive adaptation after implementing the two-level local government model. At the same time, he requested the Trade Union to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and creativity, build an increasingly strong organization, contributing to the effective implementation of socio-economic development tasks of the locality.

On this occasion, the Ward Trade Union commended and rewarded 26 grassroots Trade Union Chairmen with outstanding achievements in trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers. At the same time, awarded 9 decisions to establish new grassroots Trade Unions, bringing the total number to 64 grassroots Trade Unions with about 3,000 union members.

The program also presented 33 gifts, worth a total of 35 million VND, to union members with relatives who are wounded soldiers, martyrs and families with meritorious services to the revolution; and supported 150 gifts, worth a total of 75 million VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. These activities contribute to encouraging workers to feel secure in their work and stick with businesses and trade union organizations.
