Da Nang - The Da Nang Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City has mobilized 3.8 billion VND to support the removal of temporary houses.

Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city to join hands in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, contributing to ensuring social security and improving the quality of life of people, the Da Nang Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City has mobilized 3.8 billion VND to support the construction of houses for poor households, near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances in Da Nang city.

The funding is mobilized through the program to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the merger of the Da Nang Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the program of city leaders meeting with Da Nang entrepreneurs living and working in Ho Chi Minh City that just took place last weekend.

With a support level of 68 million VND per house, the amount of 3.8 billion VND is equivalent to the construction cost of 56 Great Solidarity houses. This resource will help many poor households and households in difficult circumstances soon stabilize their accommodation, feel secure in working and producing, and gradually improve their lives.

According to the 2026 - 2027 plan, Da Nang city aims to eliminate 5,757 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households and households in difficult circumstances, with a total estimated cost of 497.5 billion VND. In which, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels strives to mobilize 197.5 billion VND from socialized resources at home and abroad.

The fact that the Da Nang community in Ho Chi Minh City actively joins hands to support not only supplements resources for the city's social security program but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, affection and responsibility towards the homeland, contributing to realizing the goal of no longer having to live in temporary and dilapidated houses.
