Dong Nai gives more than 74,000 gifts to disadvantaged workers

Supporting people to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to work

Accordingly, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs to carry out practical welfare activities such as: Supporting more than 2,200 free bus tickets to take workers to the Northern, Central and Central Highlands provinces; Supporting more than 600 train and plane tickets, helping workers feel secure returning to their hometowns and returning to work after Tet.

In addition, Dong Nai also plans to give Tet gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, serious illnesses; organize a variety of cultural and artistic programs, draw prizes and give gifts directly at industrial parks and boarding houses with a large concentration of workers, contributing to bringing a warm Tet atmosphere to workers.

Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province Mai Xuan Tuan said: The work of caring for the Lunar New Year in 2026 in Dong Nai is being implemented synchronously, practically and humanistically from the province to the grassroots. This is not only a social security solution but also a long-term strategy to retain human resources and stabilize labor relations. These efforts affirm Dong Nai province's strong commitment to accompanying businesses and employees to overcome challenges, towards sustainable development in the new year; at the same time, creating motivation for union members and employees to work with peace of mind, stay long-term, and improve labor productivity.

Ms. Bui Thi Bich Thuy - Permanent Vice President of Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor - also said: On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the Provincial Federation of Labor proactively participates with Departments and branches to coordinate in grasping the situation, supervising employers in paying salaries and bonuses, having a plan and notifying union members and employees about the Tet holiday schedule; promptly detecting and having solutions to protect the rights of union members and employees in enterprises facing difficulties, unpaid salaries, absconding employers or dissolving, going bankrupt, contributing to stabilizing the labor relations situation during Tet.

At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor also implemented measures to detect and prevent labor disputes, collective work stoppages arising during the Lunar New Year and participate in timely and effective handling, contributing to ensuring security and order in the locality, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees.

Over 74 billion VND to give Tet gifts to workers

Mr. Ha Anh Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province - also said: The Front and the Provincial Federation of Labor have activated a campaign to care for the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year with large synthetic resources to support those in difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, work accidents, workers affected by natural disasters, floods, job losses, and contract postponements due to difficulties of enterprises...

Of which, more than 74 billion VND was allocated to give away 74,400 gifts (worth 1 million VND/gift); Deploying a large-scale campaign with "Union Flights - Treasures - Buses", bringing nearly 3,000 workers who have been away from home for many years to family reunion; Allocating 9,300 online "Union Tet Market" vouchers and organizing "Yar of the Year Meals" to create an atmosphere of solidarity, understanding, trust, and attachment of union members and workers to the Union organization and businesses.

In particular, Dong Nai authorities at all levels have closely coordinated to monitor salaries and bonuses, resolutely protecting workers' rights before the New Year. With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet" along with the efforts of trade unions at all levels, along with the attention of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and the cooperation of the business community, union members and workers in Dong Nai province will welcome a truly joyful and warm new spring.
