Workers' Month, trade unions will visit and encourage workers

On April 1st, the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) announced that it will issue a plan to organize activities for Workers' Month 2026 with the theme: "Gia Lai Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".

This year's Workers' Month is organized to celebrate the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 – May 1, 2026), in order to further affirm the role and historical mission of the Vietnamese working class.

According to the plan, many key activities will be implemented during Workers' Month. Notable are the launching ceremony of Workers' Month associated with the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health; the program to celebrate the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day. In addition, trade union levels will organize commendation of typical union members and workers; honor outstanding grassroots trade union presidents in dialogue and collective bargaining...

Cultural and sports activities are also promoted, including the Gia Lai Provincial Workers' Men's Football Tournament, creating a healthy playground and strengthening solidarity among workers.

At the same time, the "May Dialogue" program continues to be organized to strengthen exchanges between workers and employers, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles.

Workers' Month is also a peak period for developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, fostering, and admission. Collectives and individuals with good models and effective ways of implementing activities will be commended and replicated.

Notably, activities to care for workers' lives are given special attention. Trade unions at all levels will organize visits, give gifts, and support union members in difficult circumstances, who have suffered from labor accidents, occupational diseases, and critical illnesses; pregnant female workers, raising young children; workers who have reduced working hours and unstable incomes.

Through a series of diverse and practical activities, Workers' Month 2026 in Gia Lai is expected to create motivation, spread the spirit of innovation, contribute to improving labor productivity and improving the lives of workers in the province.
