Building an additional 30,000 social housing units for workers and laborers
HCMC - The City Labor Federation continues to sign a memorandum of understanding on development, completing an additional 30,000 social housing units for workers and laborers.
On the evening of March 27, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) and Phu Cuong Group Joint Stock Company signed a memorandum of understanding "On cooperation in implementing social housing projects for workers and laborers in Ho Chi Minh City".
Attending the signing ceremony were former Politburo Member, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, General Le Hong Anh, former Politburo Member, former Standing Secretary of the Secretariat, and many leaders of Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, the two sides will study and coordinate to invest in implementing social housing projects for low-income people, workers and laborers in Ho Chi Minh City; coordinate to prepare, complete, and submit construction procedures and other related legal procedures in accordance with the order, legal procedures and current legal regulations, ensuring that the project is eligible for construction and business.
The two sides set a goal to coordinate development by 2030, completing at least 30,000 social housing units for workers and laborers to rent and lease-purchase.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also signed agreements with two units to strive to build 50,000 social housing units for workers and laborers.
This is a work contributing to the implementation of the goal of developing 200,000 social housing units by 2030 in Ho Chi Minh City according to Plan No. 06-KH/TU dated July 30, 2025 of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
