New standards for military personnel to achieve the title of Advanced Soldier

Legal Consulting Department of Lao Dong Newspaper answers:

Clause 1, Article 13 of Circular 155/2026/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense stipulates and guides emulation and commendation in the Vietnam People's Army (effective from October 1, 2026) stipulating the title of Advanced Soldier to be awarded annually to military personnel, workers, civil servants, national defense officials; standing militia, mobile self-defense militia meeting the following criteria:

a) Well comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the Army's discipline;

b) Completing tasks well or better; 100% of the exam or test content meets requirements, of which 75% or more are good or excellent;

c) Have a spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, solidarity, mutual support, innovation, and digital transformation; actively participate in emulation movements, contributing to the completion of tasks of agencies and units.

Thus, from October 1, 2026, military personnel wishing to achieve the title of Advanced Soldier need to meet the criteria according to the above regulations.
