People from 70 years old are supported with funeral expenses of 10.8 million VND

Clause 1, Article 11 of Decree 335/2026/ND-CP stipulating social assistance policies (effective from October 5, 2026) stipulates the subjects of funeral expense support when they die as follows:

c) People from 75 years old who are receiving monthly social insurance survivor's allowance, other monthly allowances;

d) People from 70 to under 75 years old belonging to poor and near-poor households who are receiving monthly social insurance survivor's allowance.

Clause 2, Article 11 of Decree 335/2026/ND-CP stipulates: The level of funeral expense support for subjects specified in Clause 1 of this Article is at least 20 times the standard level specified in Clause 2, Article 4 of this Decree.

In case the subject specified in Clause 1 of this Article is supported with funeral expenses, funeral expenses specified in different documents with different levels of support, only the highest level is enjoyed.

Clause 2, Article 4, Decree 335/2026/ND-CP stipulates: The standard level of social assistance is 540,000 VND/month.

Thus, from October 5, 2026, people from 70 to under 75 years old from poor households, near-poor households receiving monthly social insurance survivor's allowance or people from 75 years old receiving monthly social insurance survivor's allowance, other monthly allowances will be supported with funeral expenses of 10.8 million VND (540,000 VND x 20).
