Concluding the conference, in addition to the achieved results, the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be focused on overcoming, such as sanctions for violations that are not enough to deter; the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods and poor quality goods still go deep into the country, increasing in the e-commerce environment.
The number of violations detected and handled did not reflect reality and did not best meet the requirements of the task. There is also a situation where officials are lax in management, covering up violations.
The situation of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods has not been detected and handled promptly, causing budget loss, causing anxiety and insecurity, affecting the investment, business environment and international integration of Vietnam.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to identify the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods as a key task, a top priority, long-term and regularly.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested to strengthen professional work, inspection and control, focusing on border crossings, border gates, seaports, aviation, areas and items prone to violations such as e-commerce, medicine, milk, functional foods, etc.
The authorities must continuously deploy regularly and non-stop to promptly detect, prevent, arrest, and resolutely handle violators with the motto " handle one case, warn the whole region, the whole field".
The inspection must ensure the principle that each locality and field is headed by an agency; at the same time, proactively exchange, share information, coordinate with forces, units and localities to promptly detect and strictly handle violations, focus on hitting and hitting the mastermind and leader.
The Government leader requested that in the first 6 months of 2026, ministries and branches must focus on reviewing, amending and perfecting the system of standards and regulations for items under their management, especially food, pharmaceuticals, items affecting human health and the environment.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that cadres and civil servants who are irresponsible in leading, directing, managing, assisting, and covering up violations must be strictly handled; synthesize and propose timely rewards for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements...
Ministries, branches and localities need to promote the application of science, technology and digital transformation in management and supervision; promote the role of hotlines and channels to receive information from people and businesses.
