The National Assembly Office has an organizational structure of 9 units

On September 14, information from the National Assembly Office said that Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued Resolution No. 17/2026/UBTVQH16 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the National Assembly Office.

The Resolution has 8 Articles and takes effect from August 28, 2026.

According to the Resolution, the National Assembly Office is an administrative agency, providing general advice, serving the activities of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Chairman, the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, the Ethnic Council, the Committees of the National Assembly and National Assembly deputies.

The National Assembly Office has tasks and powers such as organizing services for National Assembly sessions, National Assembly Standing Committee meetings; organizing the implementation of work programs and other activities of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee.

At the same time, advising and serving the Chairman of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee on the draft work program and procedures for implementing the activities of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee; organizing nghiệp vụ (professional/operational) sessions of the National Assembly session, sessions of the National Assembly Standing Committee; coordinating with the Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly's Committees in organizing the collection and synthesis of opinions of National Assembly deputies at the National Assembly session.

Advising and serving the activities of the National Assembly Chairman, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, members of the National Assembly Standing Committee; coordinating with the Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, and the Committees of the National Assembly in organizing and serving the activities of the Ethnic Council, and the Committees of the National Assembly.

Propose to improve the working regime of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee according to the direction of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Chairman of the National Assembly, and the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly.

Prepare reports on the work of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee; reports assigned by the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Chairman, and the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly.

Urge the preparation and assurance of procedures for submitting projects, schemes, reports, and submissions of relevant agencies and organizations to the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee.

The organizational structure of the National Assembly Office is as follows:

- General Department; Department of Organization - Personnel;

- Department of Administration; Department of Planning - Finance;

- Department of Protocol and International Cooperation;

- Department of Information, Library and Museum;

- Digital Transformation Authority;

- Administration Department;

- People's Deputies Newspaper.

Regarding organizational and personnel work, according to the Resolution, the Secretary General of the National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office is elected, dismissed, and removed from office by the National Assembly.

Deputy Chairmen of the National Assembly Office are decided by the National Assembly Standing Committee to appoint, reappoint, dismiss, resign, and terminate from their positions at the request of the Secretary General of the National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office.
