National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife and the high-level Vietnamese delegation left the capital Ulaanbaatar, successfully concluding their official visit to Mongolia.

In the afternoon of September 11 (local time), Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and the high-level Vietnamese delegation left the capital Ulaanbaatar, successfully concluding their official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of Mongolian Parliament Speaker Sandag Byambatsogt and his wife, according to VNA.

During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Prime Minister Nyam Osor Uchral and held talks with National Assembly Chairman Sandag Byambatsogt.

In an atmosphere of friendship, trust and openness, the two sides exchanged in-depth views on the relations between the two countries, agreed to continue to maintain high-level delegation exchanges at all levels; effectively implemented commitments and agreements between the high-level leaders of the two countries, especially the Joint Statement on establishing a Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and Mongolia.

The two sides agreed to strongly promote the role of the legislative body in promoting the connection of the two economies, creating a favorable legal framework for the Government and the business community to expand cooperation.

The two sides set a goal to soon increase bilateral trade turnover to 200 million USD; expand markets for the strengths of each country; promote the new signing of the Vietnam - Mongolia Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement; strengthen investment promotion, connecting transportation, logistics, tourism, education, culture and people-to-people exchanges.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized the determination to promote economic and trade cooperation more commensurate with the good political relations between the two countries, affirming that the Vietnamese National Assembly is ready to remove institutions and barriers to promote Vietnam - Mongolia cooperation.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Mongolian Parliament Speaker Sandag Byambatsogt signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Parliament of Mongolia; and witnessed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the National Assembly Offices of the two countries.

In the capital Ulaanbaatar, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Chairman of the Mongolia - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group J. Bayarmaa; visited Inter-level School No. 14 named after President Ho Chi Minh - a vivid symbol of traditional Vietnam - Mongolia friendship; met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Mongolia.

With practical activities, the official visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to Mongolia was a great success, thereby continuing to consolidate the foundation of political trust, deepening the relationship between the two legislative bodies; and at the same time contributing to transforming the major orientations of the Vietnam - Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership into specific cooperation programs, bringing the traditional friendly relations between the two countries to develop more deeply, effectively and sustainably.
