General Secretary To Lam receives Brazilian President

According to VNA, at the meeting, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam attach importance to Brazil, a leading partner in Vietnam's overall foreign policy in Latin America, and wish to extensively develop the new strategic partnership established between the two countries.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his impression and congratulated the achievements that the Brazilian Government and people, under the leadership of President Lula da Silva and the Brazilian Labor Party (PT) have achieved in recent times, continuing to improve the lives of the people and social justice, promoting their international role and position.

General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the results of the talks between President Lula Da Silva and President Luong Cuong and the fact that the two sides in this visit signed the action plan to deploy the Vietnam -Brazil strategic partnership in the period of 2025-2030, along with cooperative documents in the field of diplomacy, security, trade - industry and between two football feders.

The General Secretary discussed with the Brazilian President major directions and measures to further strengthen friendship, continue to deepen relations, achieve substantial results, and take advantage of each country's strengths and potential.

The General Secretary emphasized the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy - trade, agriculture, energy, national defense, as well as the importance of enhancing exchanges and cooperation in education, culture, and sports, thereby strengthening the strong friendship between the two peoples.

The Brazilian President affirmed that Vietnam is a close friend, important Brazilian partner in Asia. Expressing joy at the great strides in the two countries' relations over the past time, especially since his first term of his first term when the two countries established a comprehensive partnership framework in 2007, the Brazilian president highlighted the meaning of upgrading relations to strategic partners in November 24; Affirming the Brazilian side will continue to coordinate with Vietnam in concretizing the framework of new relations, implementing high -level agreements and cooperation documents signed on this occasion.
