Can Tho announces the decision of the Secretariat, reviewing cadre planning
Can Tho - April 9, Can Tho City Party Committee held a Conference to Announce the Decision of the Secretariat on personnel work.
According to the announced Decision, the Secretariat appointed Mr. Le Thanh Tam - Director of Can Tho City Department of Finance; Mr. Chau Viet Tha - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of O Mon Ward and Mr. Do Thanh Thao - Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Can Tho City Party Committee - to participate in the Executive Committee (EC) of Can Tho City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
On the same day, the Can Tho City Party Committee organized the Conference of Key Officials to implement the personnel work process. The conference aims to implement the process of reviewing and supplementing the planning of members of the Party Committee Executive Committee, members of the Standing Committee (BTV) of the City Party Committee and leadership and management titles of the city for the terms 2025 - 2030, 2026 - 2031.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Dong Van Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City - said that in the past time, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has always paid attention to and identified cadre planning work as an important stage and a regular task.
Based on the requirements, tasks and current situation of the contingent of cadres; at the meeting (implementing Step 1) on March 19, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee reviewed, analyzed carefully, and multi-dimensionally assessed the personnel source and unanimously submitted it to the Conference of key cadres for consideration and comments on reviewing and supplementing the cadre planning.
Regarding the work of supplementing cadre planning, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has oriented, introduced and highly unified the list of planned personnel for each term.
Specifically, supplementing the planning of the City Party Committee Executive Committee for the term 2025 - 2030 for 21 people; Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030 for 12 people.
Regarding the planning of key leadership positions, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee agreed to introduce 2 additional people into the planning of the position of Secretary of the City Party Committee; 4 people into the planning of the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.
In the 2026 - 2031 term, supplementary planning is introduced for 3 people for the position of Chairman of the City People's Council; 2 people for the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee; 1 person for the position of Head of the City National Assembly Delegation; 4 people for the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Council.
Regarding the positions of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and Deputy Head of the City National Assembly Delegation, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee agreed to maintain the source of personnel in the planning approved by competent authorities.
At the conference, Mr. Dong Van Thanh requested delegates to focus their intelligence on researching, discussing and analyzing carefully the structure, quantity, standards, conditions, subjects, age, proportion of young cadres, female cadres, and ethnic minority cadres.
On that basis, based on the personnel situation and political task requirements of the city, introduce additional personnel to the planning of the City Party Committee Executive Committee, the City Party Committee Standing Committee and leadership and management titles for the 2025 - 2030, 2026 - 2031 terms according to regulations.
