Quang Nam has just requested the temporary suspension of a number of tasks and work related to administrative units at all levels, according to the Central Government's policy.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province Le Van Dung has signed an official dispatch to departments, branches and sectors under the Provincial People's Committee and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities requesting a temporary suspension of the implementation of tasks related to administrative units (ADUs) at all levels, waiting for new instructions from superiors.

Previously, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued Official Letter No. 618/BNV-CQDP requesting localities across the country to temporarily suspend a number of work related to the arrangement of administrative units at all levels.

The tasks that have been suspended include: Submitting a project to arrange and establish administrative units at district and commune levels; classifying administrative units at all levels; appraisal and acceptance of records and maps of administrative units at the administrative unit boundary (Project 513); developing a component of the overall planning of administrative units at district and commune levels until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

This suspension is to implement Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW dated February 28, 2025 of the Politburo and the Central Secretariat. Accordingly, the Central Government continues to research and propose merging a number of provincial-level administrative units, non-district-level organizations, and continuing to merge commune-level administrative units.

With this new policy, Quang Nam and other localities across the country will wait for the guidance of the Central Government before implementing work related to the arrangement of administrative units.
