In the new school year, the education sector focuses on handling bottlenecks and measuring results by the progress of learners and the working conditions of teachers.
On the morning of August 27, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung chaired the Conference to summarize the 2025-2026 school year and deploy tasks for the 2026-2027 school year.
According to the Government Authority of Information and Communications, the conference was connected online from the Government headquarters to 34 provinces and cities. Attending the conference at the Hanoi bridge point was Politburo Member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Tran Duc Thang.
The 2025-2026 school year is the first year to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and breakthrough resolutions of the Politburo in key and strategic areas, especially Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthrough development of education and training; the first year to operate the two-level local government model and implement many major policies on arranging the organizational structure, decentralization, and delegation of power.
In that context, with the attention of Party and State leaders, the coordination of ministries, sectors, localities and the efforts of the entire sector, the education sector has achieved many important results. Besides the achieved results, the sector still has some limitations and bottlenecks that need to be focused on solving.
In the 2026-2027 school year, the entire education sector identified the theme: "Innovation in thinking - Strong changes - Substantial results".
The focus is on strongly shifting from perfecting institutions to organizing implementation, focusing on handling bottlenecks and measuring results by the progress of learners, working conditions of teachers, the operational efficiency of schools and the quality of human resources.
