Improving skills in preventing workplace accidents from a contest in Quang Ninh
Quang Ninh - In the afternoon of August 23, Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with Ha Tu Ward Trade Union to organize the 2026 Excellent Safety and Hygiene Officer Contest.
The contest is one of the activities to implement the Project on developing labor relations in Quang Ninh province for the period 2026-2030.
The contest has 5 teams with 15 contestants from registration facilities 14-01D (Ha Tu ward), 14-02D (Uong Bi ward), 14-03D (Mong Cai 3 ward), 14-04D (Mong Duong ward) and 14-08D (Mao Khe ward), belonging to Quang Ninh Road Motor Vehicle Registration Joint Stock Company.
The teams went through 4 competition sections including: Greeting, knowledge, handling situations and practicing first aid skills for labor accidents.
The exam content focuses on the provisions of law on occupational safety and hygiene; skills in identifying risks, handling unsafe situations and first aid for people injured in labor accidents.
In the practical part, the teams handled many realistic situations such as bandaging and fitting when fracturing the calf, arm, and hand; first aid for wounds in the forehead and foot area.
Through the contest, Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation and Ha Tu Ward Trade Union propagate and disseminate laws on occupational safety and hygiene; improve knowledge and skills in preventing and handling situations for safety and hygiene staff, union members and workers.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the 14-08D Registration Facility team (Mao Khe ward).
According to the Project on developing labor relations in Quang Ninh province for the period 2026-2030, trade union levels will organize 500 contests on occupational safety and health in the form of stage performances, averaging 100 contests per year.
