Seeking voters' opinions on candidates for the 16th National Assembly
Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held a conference to collect voters' opinions at the workplace for those recommended to run for the 16th National Assembly Delegation.
The conference was held on January 12 in Hanoi, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (A ceremony), Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council.
Also attending the Conference were members of the Party Central Committee: Permanent Deputy Director of Doan Minh Huan Academy; Member of the Central Theoretical Council Tran Quoc Cuong. Also attending were Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the Academy Le Hai Binh.
Speaking at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang stated that collecting voters' opinions at the workplace for those recommended to run for the 16th National Assembly is an important task; the process of introducing candidates is prepared very carefully and thoroughly, selecting people who are truly excellent, prestigious, knowledgeable about policies and laws, have practical experience and especially have exemplary lifestyles and good moral qualities.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duy Bac - Deputy Director of the Academy - disseminated the purpose, requirements, content, and program of the Conference; announced the number of voters attending; thoroughly grasped the standards for 16th National Assembly delegates and cases that do not meet the conditions for nomination according to the provisions of law. At the same time, voters listened to a summary of the biographies of individuals expected to be introduced as candidates.
Voters at the conference agreed to evaluate those recommended for nomination as having strong political will, extensive experience, moral qualities, a clean lifestyle, a high sense of responsibility, strictly following the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; and meeting the conditions and standards to run for the 16th National Assembly.
The conference conducted a vote by raising hands; as a result, 100% of voters unanimously approved the list of people expected to be introduced as candidates for the 16th National Assembly.
