Inauguration of Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals, Facility 2 in Ninh Binh
Ninh Binh - On the morning of December 19, the Ministry of Health held an inauguration ceremony for the second facility of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in Ninh Binh.
Attending the inauguration ceremony of the second facility of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in Ninh Binh were Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, representatives of the Ministry of Health, leaders of Ninh Binh province and a large number of staff of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan said that this is an event of special significance for the Vietnamese health sector in general and the end-of-line medical examination and treatment system in particular. At the same time, it demonstrates the deep concern of the Party, State and Government for the cause of protecting, caring for and improving the health of the people.
Investing in the construction of the second facility of the two hospitals above is not only an urgent requirement to reduce the burden on the main facility in Hanoi, but also a strategic step, demonstrating a long-term vision in developing a modern, synchronous, fair and effective health system.
Each Hospital has a scale of 1,000 beds and is built according to a modern hospital model, spacious infrastructure, advanced and synchronous medical equipment system. Meet the requirements of implementing high-level, in-depth techniques at the regional level and gradually approaching international standards.
During the implementation of these two projects, the Ministry of Health encountered unprecedented difficulties such as complex problems with policy mechanisms, changes in legal regulations, high technical requirements, large-scale even problems in the implementation process. Along with that, the objective impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have caused the two projects to fall into a deadlock at times, having to temporarily suspend construction for a long time.
"To meet the aspirations of the people and the responsibility before the Party and the State, advising on policies and mechanisms for the project to continue to complete and put the project into use soon is an extremely urgent requirement. In the most difficult times, we have received very strong and close guidance from the leaders of the Party, State, Government and the coordination of ministries, departments, and organizations that have helped the Ministry of Health develop and submit to promulgate Resolution No. 34/NQ-CP dated February 13, 2025 of the Government. This is the "key" to solving the seemingly insurmountable difficulties and problems of the two projects" - Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan emphasized.
After more than 10 months of reconstruction, with a huge construction volume and many difficulties, the two projects have so far inaugurated the construction component exceeding the schedule set by Resolution 34.
According to Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, to have a complete hospital in operation in accordance with the set goals, it is necessary to continue to complete the installation of machinery and equipment, and arrange a team of doctors and nurses. At the same time, complete legal procedures according to regulations. This is also a very important task in the next phase.
Therefore, the Ministry of Health has been directing units of the Ministry, Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital to urgently continue to focus on the work to bring the second facility of the two hospitals above to complete the procedures and put them into official operation.
The Ministry of Health will continue to closely coordinate with Ninh Binh province to solve problems with connecting infrastructure, utility services around the two hospitals, and especially policies to ensure the lives of medical staff working at the new facility.
When these two hospitals come into operation, they will be vivid symbols of the remarkable development of Vietnamese medicine in the new era. At the same time, it has made practical contributions to improving the quality of life and longevity of the Vietnamese people, worthy of being meaningful projects to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress.
Also on the morning of December 19, along with localities across the country, Ninh Binh province solemnly held the inauguration ceremony and started construction of 8 other key projects. Of which, 5 projects were inaugurated and 3 new projects were started.
