Gia Lai approves many resolutions on economic development policies
Gia Lai - The resolutions passed create a legal foundation and an important driving force for the province to develop quickly and sustainably.
On May 29, at the 3rd Session, the 13th Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031, passed 40 important resolutions to improve mechanisms and policies, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of local government activities, create motivation to promote socio-economic development, and ensure national defense and security.
At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council considered and decided on many important contents such as: principles, criteria, norms for allocating medium-term public investment capital for the period 2026-2030; adjusting the public investment plan for 2026; mechanisms and policies for agricultural and rural development, science and technology, innovation, social housing, human resource development, social security, national defense, security and policies for ethnic minority areas.
Notably, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council has passed a resolution adjusting and supplementing the 2026 public investment plan. Accordingly, the province will supplement more than 4,753 billion VND from increased revenue and provincial budget expenditure estimates for 2025 transferred to 2026, raising the total public investment capital plan for 2026 to more than 17,997 billion VND.

The 13th Provincial People's Council also passed a resolution stipulating a number of policies to encourage businesses to invest in agriculture and rural areas in the province.
Accordingly, Gia Lai province will support commercial loan interest rates for businesses with projects investing in agriculture and rural areas that have been completed and put into operation. The support level is determined based on the investment capital scale of the project and the difference between commercial loan interest rates and preferential credit interest rates of the State.
The province also supports the cost of evaluating and issuing Certificates of Organic Agriculture or Certificates of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for projects that link production and consumption of organic or GAP agricultural products in land-concentrated areas.
In the field of health, the Provincial People's Council has passed a resolution promulgating regulations on a number of policies to attract and offer incentives to doctors and pharmacists. It is expected that in 2026, the province will allocate 81 billion VND to implement preferential policies to attract doctors and pharmacists and support housing rent for those who are attracted.

The effective implementation of this resolution is expected to contribute to the development of health human resources, reflecting the policy of special treatment for the high-quality health human resources of the province.
With the spirit of working urgently, seriously, democratically and with high responsibility, the 3rd session of the 13th Provincial People's Council passed 40 resolutions with a high consensus rate.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Council Rah Lan Chung affirmed that the resolutions passed at the session not only solve immediate requirements but also create a legal foundation and important driving force for the province to develop quickly and sustainably in the coming time.
At the same time, he requested all levels and sectors to focus highly on the implementation of the medium-term public investment plan and disbursement of public investment capital in 2026, considering this as a key political task to promote growth, complete infrastructure and create spillover momentum for socio-economic development.
