Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee receives new duties
On March 31, the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province informed that the People's Committee of the province has just issued a decision to reorganize the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee.
According to the decision, the Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee will be the Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee.
Deputy Heads include: Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in charge of construction; Director of Department of Construction (cum Deputy Head of Standing Committee); Deputy Director of the Provincial Police in charge of the police block.
Members: Representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Departments: Finance, Home Affairs, Justice, Culture - Sports and Tourism, Education and Training, Health, Science and Technology, Industry and Trade; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Radio and Television Station; Chief of Office of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee ( full-time captain).
In addition, the decision also invited leaders of a number of agencies and organizations to join the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee as members, including: Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Women's Union.
The provincial Traffic Safety Board is an organization of interdisciplinary coordination and functions to help the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee direct and coordinate activities to ensure traffic order and safety, overcome traffic congestion. The Board is allowed to use its own seal, open an account at the State Treasury and operate in accordance with the Prime Minister's regulations.
The Provincial Traffic Safety Office is located at the Department of Construction, with a specialized apparatus assisting by the Chief of Office. The decision also assigned the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to specify the components and tasks of the Traffic Safety Committee of the district, town and city.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and replaces Decision No. 2138 dated August 4, 2017.
It is known that the current Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee is Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet. Mr. Viet was elected by the People's Council of Son La province, term XV, 2021-2026, to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in early November 2024.
