Keeping a souvenir book here, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his emotion at visiting the National Historical and Cultural Relic site of Hoc Mon District Palace - where the Nam Ky Uprising event took place (November 23, 1940) and preserved many struggle events throughout the long historical journey of soldiers and people in 18 Vuon Trau villages.

The National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized that the spirit of suicide for the Fatherland and determination to live of the Nam Ky Uprising soldiers has contributed to fostering patriotism and indomitable will for our Party and our nation to win victory in the August Revolution and two long-term resistance wars, so that the country can be completely independent, unified, and the people can live in peace, prosperity, and happiness.

Clearly stating that the relic is a place to educate invaluable revolutionary traditions for young generations, the National Assembly Chairwoman requested the Party Committee, government, people of Ho Chi Minh City and Hoc Mon commune to preserve and promote it so that today's and future generations can continue to learn and follow the spirit of "Nam Ky Uprising", firmly step on the path of building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, developing Ho Chi Minh City to be civilized - modern - meaningful, rising to become a super-urban of international stature, making increasingly greater contributions to the development of the country in the new era - the era of national prosperity.
