National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man meets with the Vietnamese community in Turkey

The National Assembly Chairwoman wished that the Vietnamese community in Turkey would always be united, support each other, and build an increasingly strong and well-integrated community.

Within the framework of the working trip to attend the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-152) and conduct bilateral activities in Turkey, on the evening of April 17 local time, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and the high-level Vietnamese delegation met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Turkey.

In a warm atmosphere, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent to the Ambassador and officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Turkey the warmest wishes for health and congratulations.

The National Assembly Chairwoman respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary, President To Lam and senior leaders of Vietnam to all compatriots.

The National Assembly Chairwoman also informed the Vietnamese community in Turkey about important milestones of the country such as: Successfully organizing the 14th National Congress of the Party, the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and deputies of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; the revolution in arranging and streamlining the organizational structure of the political system; the achievements of 40 years of Doi Moi, the country is making efforts, determined to be confident and self-reliant to enter a new stage of development, with the goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry, high-middle income by 2030 and a developed country with high income by 2045.

Sharing the difficulties that the Vietnamese community in Turkey and the Vietnamese Embassy in the host country face, the National Assembly Chairwoman said that the National Assembly and the Government have amended many policies related to ensuring regimes for officials and staff of the Embassy.

Currently, the National Assembly is considering amending and supplementing the Law on Representative Agencies of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, especially in citizen protection, community support and inter-sectoral coordination.

In particular, the National Assembly has passed important laws, especially in the fields of civil status, land, housing, and real estate business, to create favorable conditions for the overseas Vietnamese community to invest and do business in Vietnam.

The National Assembly Chairwoman wished that the Vietnamese community in Turkey would always be united, support each other, build an increasingly strong community, integrate well, comply with the laws of the host country and preserve the good image of Vietnamese people. At the same time, continue to preserve and spread national cultural identity, preserve the Vietnamese language, family traditions, so that the young generation, even if born and raised abroad, will always look towards their roots.

The National Assembly Chairwoman requested the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey to continue to pay attention and contribute to promoting investment of businesses of the two countries; support people to build a good life in the host country; further promote the role of a common home, a source of spiritual encouragement, a place to connect and gather people to unite and look towards their homeland and country.
