Criminal police officers must have clean hands to maintain integrity and honor

The ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Criminal Police force and receive the Ho Chi Minh Order was organized by the Party Committee of the Central Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security on the morning of April 18.

General Secretary and President To Lam sent a letter and a bouquet of flowers to congratulate.

Attending the event were Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; Politburo Member, Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang.

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung said that after 80 years of building, fighting and growing up, the Criminal Police force has written a heroic epic with absolute loyalty to the Party and State, dedicatedly serving the Fatherland and serving the People; with sweat, intelligence, bravery, dedication, and sacrifice; overcoming all difficulties and hardships, completing all assigned tasks, making many feats of arms and outstanding achievements...

To have peace for life, many officers and soldiers of the Criminal Police force bravely sacrificed and suffered injuries. That sacrifice and loss is a vivid symbol of the spirit of "For the country, forgetting oneself, serving the people", contributing to embellishing the glorious tradition of the heroic People's Police force.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized that our country is entering a new era; implementing many strategic tasks, developing quickly and sustainably, maintaining political and social stability, firmly protecting independence and sovereignty, maintaining security and order, creating a peaceful and stable environment for national development.

According to the Prime Minister, the crime situation is changing rapidly, becoming more complicated, threatening social trust, order, human security and political and social stability; operating methods are increasingly sophisticated, organized, anonymous, cross-border, using high technology; more reckless and daring in dealing with functional forces.

The tasks set for the Criminal Police force are even more difficult and heavy. Not only to investigate very well, solve cases quickly, arrest and handle criminals strictly, but also to forecast accurately, advise accurately, prevent effectively, contributing to creating a safer, more disciplined, and more humane society.

The Criminal Police force is exemplary and takes the lead in implementing the spirit of action, "responsibility discipline", "implementation discipline", "right choice - quick deployment - thorough implementation - measured by specific results"; determined to sustainably reduce crime according to the motto "proactive prevention from early, from afar, from the grassroots level"; "taking prevention as fundamental, strategic, and long-term; fighting as the focus, regular, and urgent". Promoting the movement of all people protecting national security in crime prevention and control well.

Along with that, focus on transforming the operating methods of the Criminal Police force from manual to applying science and technology, combining smoothly and closely between tradition and modernity with synchronous, modern, and highly secure infrastructure. Resolutely not to be passive or surprised by all types of crimes, including crimes using high technology.

Criminal police officers must have a hot heart to love the people, protect the people; have a cool head to be alert, objective, uphold the law, and be humane; have clean hands to maintain integrity and honor; have firm feet to stick to the area, stick to reality; have open intelligence to master technology, law, and foreign languages," Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized.

At the Anniversary Ceremony, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, on behalf of Party and State leaders, awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order to the Criminal Police Force, Ministry of Public Security; awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to 6 collectives and individuals of the Criminal Police Force. On this occasion, the Criminal Police Department, Ministry of Public Security was awarded the First-class Military Exploit Order; 80 typical representatives of the Criminal Police Force in the work of fighting and preventing crime against social order were commended, honored, and awarded other noble awards.
