Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - Head of the Technical Department, Construction Management Board of Ring Road 4 in the Capital Region, Truong Son Construction Corporation - said that package No. 8 has a total length of about 23km, of which about 20km of parallel roads have been paved with asphalt.

Some sections on the route are being constructed with crushed stone by the contractor.

Package 8 also undertakes the construction of 3 overpasses on the route including the Ca Lo River overpass connecting Soc Son with Me Linh, the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway overpass and the Hau village bridge.

Of these, the railway overpass is the largest bridge built under package No. 8. The project is nearly 590m long with 27 spans on both sides, the width of the bridge deck is 15m on each side.

Regarding the progress of package No. 8, Mr. Nam said that up to this point, the contractor consortium has completed about 70% of the construction volume, ensuring progress compared to the plan.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, there are still 2 residential areas in Dai Thinh and Chu Phan communes (Me Linh) that have not been handed over the project.

"With the sections that have cleared the ground, the contractor consortium is committed to completing the Ring Road 4 parallel road project through Me Linh and Soc Son in 2025" - Mr. Nam affirmed.
