The Ministry of Public Security gives houses to the poor in Bac Lieu
Bac Lieu - The Ministry of Public Security has socialized support for Bac Lieu with more than 42 billion VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for households with housing difficulties.
On April 3, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with Bac Lieu province to organize a house donation ceremony and hand over funds to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses to households with housing difficulties in Bac Lieu province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Hong Nguyen - Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security - said that the Ministry of Public Security has chaired the mobilization and coordinated with localities to build nearly 20,000 houses, many schools and schools with a budget of nearly 1,000 billion VND. In 2024 alone, the Ministry of Public Security mobilized resources to build, renovate and repair more than 3,000 houses, with a total cost of nearly 200 billion VND.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Public Security has mobilized all the donations to support 362 billion dong to support the elimination of temporary houses and dilapidated houses in 2 provinces of Cao Bang and Gia Lai under the Government's program. The Ministry of Public Security is also actively mobilizing resources to continue supporting the deletion of thousands of temporary houses and dilapidated houses for poor households, policy families and families with meritorious services to the revolution, ethnic minorities in some localities nationwide.
The Central Police Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security leaders sincerely thanked the close coordination in the leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the functional units of Bac Lieu province in the movement to erase temporary houses and dilapidated houses that the People's Police force as the core, pioneer, thanking the sponsors.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province, Mr. Tran Van Ut - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Bac Lieu province - sent his thanks to the Central Party Committee of Public Security, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, as well as the benefactors for their attention to mobilizing support to build houses for poor households and near-poor households with housing difficulties in Bac Lieu province.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province, in recent years, the committees and authorities have always cared for, led, directed and mobilized the active participation of the entire political system, the response of people, businesses inside and outside the province, the work of caring and helping the poor and disadvantaged people have achieved many important results.
With the attention of the Central Police Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security leaders have socialized to support Bac Lieu province to build 700 houses, worth VND 50 million/unit, Bac Lieu province reciprocated 10 million/unit, with a total budget of more than VND 42 billion. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province will perform well the reception, management and administration of fund funds in accordance with regulations, publicity, transparency, ensuring the use of funds for the right purpose, object, practical and effective.
On this occasion, 40 poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties in Bac Lieu province were presented with gifts by the Ministry of Public Security and Bac Lieu province, and were examined, consulted on health care, and given free medicine.
