Badges recognizing decades of contributions of workers

Self-study technology to master modern production lines
On October 4, Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) held a ceremony to honor and express gratitude to employees on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of its establishment (October 4, 1983 - October 4, 2026).
Among those awarded badges was Mr. Nguyen Can - Technical Head of Workshop 3, Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory, who has been associated with the enterprise for 35 years.
Coming to work in May 1991, Mr. Can remembered the periods when workers had to work very hard to adapt to technological changes.
In 2002, when the factory moved from an old production line to more modern equipment, for technicians, this was both an opportunity and a challenge.
At that time, I myself was also bewildered because I had not been exposed to new technology. We had to read documents, learn for ourselves to be able to master the equipment and promptly fix machine failures," Mr. Can shared.
For Mr. Can, 35 years of work is not only a period of dedication to the business but also years of attachment to colleagues. He likened Khatoco to a "common house", where employees unite, support each other in difficult times and together find ways to improve their work.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Duy Khue - Technical Head of Workshop 2, Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory was awarded the 25-year badge. Entering the factory in 2001, he said that the working environment and encouragement for the initiative are the motivation for workers to be so attached.
According to Mr. Khue, although technology is increasingly modern, AI can support many jobs, humans still play a central role in creativity. Technology helps workers work more efficiently, but it is timely encouragement for workers to explore that is the key to creating improvements in production.
Gratitude with practical policies
The spirit of igniting creativity in workers is expressed by Khatoco through emulation movements.
In 2 years 2024-2025, there were 108 initiatives and 571 solutions to rationalize production and business of workers recorded. In 2026 alone, 5 initiatives and ideas with a value of profit of more than 5 billion VND were highly appreciated.
Mr. Pham Hoai Trung - Chairman of the Member Council of Khatoco - said that gratitude does not only lie in a badge or a ceremony but must be continued in daily work, from caring about working conditions and life to listening to and recognizing the contributions of workers.
Khatoco currently has nearly 3,800 employees in 16 member units, with an average income of 15.2 million VND/person/month.
Workers are provided with meals during shifts, material allowances for heavy and hazardous positions, and periodic health checks.
From 2024, businesses will support money at a rate of 7 million VND/person/year for official workers who are eligible to participate in sightseeing and tourism trips.
During the historic flood in November 2025, Khatoco also supported nearly 10 billion VND for affected workers' families, helping them quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
According to Mr. Trung, 20, 25, 30 or 35 years are long journeys in a worker's life. Behind each badge are working hours, initiatives, experiences passed down, and the companionship of the family.
Those silent contributions contribute to creating the stability of Khatoco through 43 years of construction and development. The badge is therefore not only a milestone, but also a mark of the attachment and dedication of employees to the business.
