Vietnam Trade and Industry Union establishes two more grassroots trade unions in September 2026

On September 15, Mr. Le An Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, said that to implement the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions, in September 2026, the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union directed the successful organization of the Congress to establish the Grassroots Trade Union of Anima Vietnam Fashion Co., Ltd. and the Grassroots Trade Union of the Center for Clean Environment and Production, contributing to expanding the collection of workers and enhancing the representative role of the Trade Union organization at the grassroots level.

Accordingly, on September 11, the Congress to establish the grassroots Trade Union of Anima Vietnam Fashion Co., Ltd. was held in Hanoi, officially admitting 32 employees to the Vietnam Trade Union organization.

Anima Vietnam Fashion Co., Ltd. was established in 2014, headquartered in Lang Ha, Hanoi, with a charter capital of 11 billion VND, operating in the field of design, production and business of fashion products. In the process of operation, the enterprise maintains stable production and business, implements social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance regimes for employees, and at the same time pays attention to occupational safety and health and fire and explosion prevention.

The establishment of grassroots trade unions meets the aspirations of workers, creating an official representative mechanism to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time contributes to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

Previously, the Congress to establish the grassroots Trade Union of the Center for Clean Environment and Production was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade Building, Pham Van Dong Street, Hanoi, with the participation of 26 delegates, representing all officials, employees and workers of the Center.

The Center for Environment and Clean Production performs professional tasks on consulting, monitoring, and environmental analysis; promoting cleaner production, efficient use of resources and response to climate change in the Industry and Trade sector. The establishment of grassroots trade unions is an important condition to strengthen the connection between workers and unit leaders, care for material and spiritual life, protect the rights of union members and launch emulation movements associated with professional tasks.

Congratulating the grassroots trade unions and new union members, Mr. Le An Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the VGCL, Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, requested the Executive Committees of the two grassroots trade unions to soon stabilize their organization, build operating regulations, regulations on coordination with unit and business leaders, and work programs suitable to the characteristics of each unit.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union emphasized that grassroots trade unions need to perform well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations, participate in dialogues, and propose solutions to improve working conditions and improve the material and spiritual life of workers.

In addition, grassroots trade unions need to actively organize emulation movements "Good Labor", "Creative Labor", promote initiatives, technical improvements, improve productivity and quality of work; thereby affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in accompanying businesses and units to develop sustainably and successfully complete assigned tasks.

The establishment of two more grassroots trade unions continues to affirm the determination of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union in the work of developing union members, building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, strongly orienting activities towards grassroots levels and taking union members and workers as the center.
