Vinh Long Trade Union develops 251 union members, establishes 2 more grassroots trade unions
Vinh Long - The Provincial Trade Union organized professional training for 2,340 grassroots trade union officials, and at the same time developed 251 union members and established 2 grassroots trade unions.
According to a report by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), from September 7-13, trade union levels at all levels in the province deployed many activities to care for and develop union members, and improve professional skills for trade union officials.
Notably, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation organized training and professional development for trade unions in 3 areas, with more than 2,340 grassroots trade union officials registered to participate in a direct combined online form.
The training content focuses on trade union nghiệp vụ, new regulations of the Trade Union organization, Trade Union Congress Resolutions; skills in dialogue, collective bargaining, signing collective labor agreements and occupational safety and hygiene.
During the week, the Provincial Labor Federation newly developed 251 union members, established 2 grassroots trade unions at An Nam Cosmetics Co., Ltd. with 20 union members and Tasifish Import-Export Joint Stock Company with 231 union members.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation inspected the compliance with the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union at the grassroots trade union of Viet Hong Export Garment Co., Ltd. The Inspection Committee inspected the Charter, asset and financial management at 4 grassroots trade unions.
The Provincial Labor Federation also reviews and standardizes functions, tasks, job positions, develops staffing plans for the period 2027 - 2031; completes the evaluation dossier, proposes ranking the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation in the third quarter of 2026.
At the grassroots level, Phuoc Hau Ward Trade Union coordinated to donate more than 5,000,000 VND from the Golden Heart Charity Fund to union members suffering from dangerous diseases.
The Trade Union of Tra Vinh Vocational College participated in the Civil Servants' Sports Festival of colleges in the Mekong Delta region, winning 2 first prizes in iron ball and the second prize overall.
To date, the Provincial Labor Federation is managing 7 commune and ward trade unions; 664 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions with 178,777 union members out of a total of 186,099 workers.
