Trade union officials warned of AI fraud tricks
Gia Lai - More than 100 grassroots trade union officials are warned of tricks to take advantage of AI to fake voices, images, and impersonate to defraud and appropriate property.
On September 13, the Trade Union of Thong Nhat Ward (Gia Lai) said that it had organized digital skills training, AI application; ensuring security and safety in cyberspace and professional training for Trade Union work in 2026 for more than 100 officials from 43 affiliated grassroots Trade Unions.
One of the contents that is focused on is ensuring security and safety in cyberspace. Trade union officials are updated on common risks such as online fraud, agency, organization, personal impersonation, account appropriation and spreading false and untrue information.

Notably, trade union officials are warned of tricks to take advantage of AI to create fake images and voices to impersonate relatives, agencies, organizations or individuals to defraud and appropriate property.
At the same time, they are instructed to identify malicious links, fake accounts, suspicious messages and emails; verify information before sharing; protect personal data and use social networks safely through real-life situations.
Trade union officials are also guided to exploit appropriate AI tools to support drafting documents, developing plans, reporting, summarizing and processing information, building propaganda content and organizing Trade Union activities.

The training content also notes the verification of information, data security and caution when using internal information, personal information on digital platforms and AI tools.
Trade union officials also exchanged skills in collecting information, identifying issues, preparing content and developing negotiation plans, contributing to enhancing the representative role, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Regarding financial work, the training session guided contents on revenue, expenditure, management and use of Trade Union finances; preparing estimates, dossiers, documents and finalization reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, publicity, and transparency.
Ms. Truong Thi My Le - Chairwoman of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union - requested grassroots Trade Union officials to constantly improve their capacity, digital skills and professional skills, meeting the requirements of Trade Union activities in the new situation.
Through training, Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union aims to build a team of grassroots Trade Union officials with digital skills, proactive in the face of cyberspace risks and solid professional skills, thereby improving the quality of operations, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
