Vinh Long - More than 2,300 grassroots trade union officials train professional skills and skills to represent and protect the rights of union members and workers.

On September 12, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the opening ceremony of the training and professional training class for trade union officials in 2026, with more than 2,300 grassroots trade union officials participating.

The training class is organized at the main bridge point at Con Phung Tourism - Service - Trading Co., Ltd., Phu Tuc commune and online at two bridge points in Long Chau and Nguyet Hoa wards.

Attending and directly deploying thematic topics at the main bridge point were Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation.

Speaking at the opening, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh said that the trade union professional training and fostering program takes place in 4 days, including September 12, 13, 26 and 27, focusing on practical contents.

The program includes 8 topics, structured into 4 core content groups, aimed at equipping general knowledge about the Vietnam Trade Union and improving the capacity of grassroots trade union officials.

The contents focus on building organizations, professional skills on grassroots trade union organization and activities; inspection, supervision, settlement of complaints and denunciations and participation in policy and law development.

The program also equips the method of representing trade unions, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; associated with emulation and commendation movements, the activities of the Women's Affairs Committee and financial management.

More than 2,300 students were also instructed on techniques for presenting documents in the correct format, clerical work, and archiving; and equipped with solutions to improve trade union communication capacity, increase interaction and grasp public opinion.

The Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation requested trainees to proactively study materials, actively exchange, and frankly point out difficulties and obstacles from grassroots practice to discuss and remove them with reporters.

Through the training class, grassroots trade union officials are expected to creatively apply knowledge and skills to practice, contributing to improving the quality of trade union activities, meeting the requirements in the new era.
