Bringing the law closer to workers

Ms. Nguyen Thi Luy - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. (Bac Ninh) - said that in August 2026, the Trade Union of Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. in coordination with the Economic Security Department - Bac Ninh Provincial Police organized the program "Legal Propaganda for Workers in 2026", attracting more than 500 union members and workers to participate.

“Promoting the law to workers is important in building a safe and disciplined working environment. When workers understand and comply with the law, businesses also have an additional foundation to maintain stable operations” - Ms. Luy said.

At Samsung SDI Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Yen Phong I Industrial Park, Bac Ninh), the work of improving legal understanding for workers is also focused on by the grassroots Trade Union.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Samsung SDI Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that with more than 1,700 union members and employees, the grassroots trade union always coordinates with businesses in negotiating and signing collective labor agreements, and organizing periodic dialogues to promptly resolve issues of concern to employees.

Workers are increasingly looking for jobs through social networks and online platforms, making equipping themselves with legal knowledge even more necessary.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Huong - a worker at Samsung SDI Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that after being propagated by the Trade Union about the rights and obligations in labor relations, she began to proactively learn about practical contents such as labor contracts, wages, working hours, leave regimes, social insurance and regulations on overtime work.

If there is a problem that is not clear, I know to ask the Trade Union or the department in charge to get an explanation, instead of listening to this person say one way, that person say another way" - Ms. Huong shared.

From propaganda to dialogue, answering policies

Not only stopping at disseminating laws at each enterprise, the work of improving legal understanding for workers is also implemented through dialogue programs and direct answering.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation - informed that at the end of August 2026, the Department of Home Affairs in coordination with the Provincial Social Insurance, the Provincial Labor Federation, the Management Board of Industrial Parks and the Provincial Business Association will organize a dialogue program to answer difficulties and obstacles for businesses and grassroots trade unions in implementing labor laws.

Nearly 700 officials working in human resources, social insurance, occupational safety and health, and grassroots trade union officials of more than 300 businesses in the province attended. Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung said that the law will only truly be effective when workers know, understand and have the ability to apply it to life.

For workers, regulations on contracts, wages, working hours, insurance or occupational safety and health are not concepts that are far from reality but directly related to daily employment and income.

Therefore, innovating propaganda methods, strengthening dialogue and direct answering are becoming one of the important solutions to bring policies closer to workers.
