VNPT Trade Union organizes professional training for trade union officials in 2026

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of VNPT Trade Union (under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology), the rapid change of science and technology, the development requirements of the Group as well as the increasing demands of workers are posing new requirements for the trade union organization. The team of trade union officials needs to strongly shift from organizational thinking to service thinking; taking union members and workers as the center, taking the grassroots as the main operating area and taking the satisfaction of union members and workers as one of the measures of operational efficiency.

The Chairman of VNPT Trade Union requested trade union levels to continue to improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining; proactively participate in building mechanisms and policies directly related to employment, income, working conditions, welfare and rights of employees; accompany professional development to improve the quality of human resources. On that basis, the training program focuses on three main content groups.

First, the professional work of inspection and supervision of the Trade Union Inspection Committee, which focuses on improving inspection and supervision skills, resolving and participating in resolving complaints and denunciations, disciplinary action and reception of officials, union members, and workers.

Second, professional accounting of grassroots trade unions and trade union financial management according to the new regulations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in order to improve the capacity to manage and use financial resources in accordance with regulations, publicly, transparently, economically and effectively.

Third, the contents orienting trade union activities in the new period, associated with the implementation of Resolution XIV of the Vietnam Trade Union Congress, Resolution I of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union Congress and key tasks of VNPT Trade Union.

The training and professional training conference for trade union officials in 2026 is one of the activities to continue building a contingent of VNPT Trade Union officials who are brave, professional, responsible, close to union members and close to grassroots levels; and at the same time unify the awareness and methods of deploying trade union work throughout the system.
