Da Nang Trade Union visits and supports families of union members of Nui Thanh Commune Fisheries Trade Unions

News from the Da Nang City Labor Federation on September 14th said: The Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a working delegation to visit, encourage and provide support to the families of members of the Nui Thanh Commune Fisheries Trade Union who went missing in the QNa 90859 TS fishing boat sinking.

Fishing vessel QNa 90859 TS lost contact from August 25, 2026 in the distant sea area. Through the search and verification of information, functional forces determined that the fishing vessel encountered an accident and sank. There are 51 crew members on board; so far, 32 fishermen have been searched and rescued, while 19 fishermen are still missing.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh - Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, visited each union member's family, kindly inquired and shared the losses and difficulties that the families are facing.

Ms. Anh encouraged the relatives of the fishermen to maintain their spirit, overcome grief, and stabilize their lives; and affirmed that the Trade Union organization always accompanies and shares with union members and workers when facing difficulties and hardships.

On this occasion, the Da Nang City Labor Federation awarded support of 5 million VND/case of missing fishermen, from the City Trade Union Social Activity Fund.

Previously, the Da Nang City Labor Federation participated with leaders, departments and branches of Da Nang city to organize meetings, visits, and give gifts to encourage fishermen who were rescued and returned safely after the accident, and supported 2 million VND/person.

These activities show the concern and companionship of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers, especially in times when families encounter upheavals, thereby contributing to adding motivation for relatives of fishermen to overcome difficulties.
