Free healthcare for more than 500 workers in Sa Dec Industrial Park
Dong Thap - More than 500 union members and workers at Sa Dec Industrial Park receive free health care during the National Day of September 2nd.
On August 29, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap coordinated with Saigon Cuu Long Hospital Joint Stock Company and FPT Long Chau Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company to organize a free health care program for union members, workers, and laborers in Sa Dec Industrial Park.
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation - along with more than 500 union members, workers, and laborers working at Sa Dec Industrial Park.
This is a practical activity of the Trade Union organization in caring for the health of union members and workers on the occasion of National Day September 2nd. The examination point is organized at the campus of HIDICO Company - Sa Dec Industrial Park Branch (Sa Dec ward). Here, workers are screened, consulted on health and provided with knowledge to prevent and control common diseases, especially respiratory diseases and seasonal flu in a crowded working environment.
Those who are eligible are vaccinated against seasonal flu for free, and are also guided on nutrition, rest and proactive disease prevention measures. Some cases with in-depth counseling needs are guided to continue monitoring, examination and treatment at appropriate medical facilities.
A noteworthy point of the program is that workers are advised on vaccination according to each case. Doctors explain the benefits, appropriate vaccination time and post-vaccination notes, helping workers improve their knowledge and proactively protect their health.
According to the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap, this activity contributes to helping union members and workers, especially those with low incomes, have more conditions to access health care services. Through this, workers raise their awareness of proactively preventing diseases and protecting their own and their families' health. The program also demonstrates the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives and welfare of workers, while strengthening coordination between the Trade Union and businesses in taking care of workers' health.
The total cost of implementing the program of screening, counseling, flu vaccination and free medicine distribution is sponsored by Saigon Cuu Long Hospital Joint Stock Company and FPT Long Chau Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, with more than 200 million VND.
