The 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is the 27th year implemented by the Secretariat of the Central Youth Union.

This year's campaign takes place from May 23 to August 31, 2026, associated with the theme of the year "Strongly innovating the operating methods of the Union", taking 248 communes and wards in the land border area as the focal area, concretizing the Project "Vietnamese Youth Accompanying Border Area Youth and Children in the period 2025 - 2030".

After more than 3 months of implementation, the Campaign achieved many outstanding results: All targets and tasks were achieved on schedule, and some targets were completed well and exceeded the plan.

The direction and operation of the Campaign was implemented proactively and synchronously, with many innovations in organization methods; the application of digital transformation and online management platforms has contributed to improving the efficiency of coordination, connecting forces, updating information on programs and campaigns and supporting the implementation of activities at the grassroots level.

A prominent new point of the 2026 Green Summer Campaign is the application of digital technology in management and administration through the deployment of the National Green Summer Digital Map.

According to statistics on the Digital Map, as of August 31, 2026, 844 Green Summer teams with nearly 60,000 volunteer students have been deployed in 555 commune/ward areas across the country, of which 3.746 projects and tasks have been supported and implemented with a total value of over 30 billion VND.

The organization of forces and allocation of resources have been implemented specifically, with focus and key points, especially prioritizing remote, isolated, border areas, and areas with many difficulties, in which all 248 land border communes have access to and organize social security activities.
