Workers have direct dialogue on social insurance policies

On the evening of October 9th, at Jinquan Vietnam Tourism Equipment Co., Ltd. (Nam Dong Ha Industrial Park), the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) of Quang Tri province coordinated with the Social Insurance (BHXH) of Quang Tri province to organize a conference to propagate, disseminate and dialogue on social insurance, health insurance (BHYT), and unemployment insurance (BHTN) policies for workers.

Attending the conference were Mr. Phan Thanh Lan - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the Industrial Park Trade Union; Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Social Insurance; representatives of professional departments of provincial Social Insurance, business leaders, grassroots trade unions and 90 union members and workers.

Bringing insurance policies closer to workers

The conference was organized to help workers grasp the new points of the 2024 Law on Social Insurance, effective from July 1, 2025, and understand the rights and responsibilities in the process of participating and enjoying social security policies.

At the program, Mr. Phan Thanh Lan emphasized the meaning of propaganda and dissemination of insurance laws to workers. This is not only an activity to provide knowledge but also creates a forum for workers to directly reflect difficulties and obstacles in policy implementation.

Representative of Quang Tri Provincial Social Insurance, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, and professional officials participated in directing, exchanging and answering issues related to the rights of workers.

Reporters focused on introducing new regulations on compulsory social insurance participants, contribution levels, contribution periods, retirement benefits and social insurance regimes.

In addition, workers are informed of their rights when seeking medical examination and treatment with health insurance cards; regulations on unemployment benefits, sickness benefits, maternity benefits and responsibilities of enterprises in paying insurance for employees.

Directly answering questions about regimes

A noteworthy point at the conference was the direct dialogue between workers and leaders and professional staff of Quang Tri Provincial Social Insurance.

Many workers asked questions related to the conditions for enjoying pensions, social insurance contribution time, how to calculate benefits when retiring; maternity benefits for female workers and benefits when accidents occur unfortunately.

Questions are received and answered directly by provincial social insurance officials, helping workers better understand the regulations related to each case, thereby proactively protecting their legitimate and lawful rights.

In particular, provincial social insurance officials also publicly announce contact phone numbers, ready to receive, advise and guide workers when problems arise in the process of participating and resolving insurance regimes.

Maintaining the direct consultation channel after the conference is expected to help workers more conveniently when they need to learn about policies, without having to wait for focused propaganda sessions.

Through the program, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation proposed that grassroots trade unions continue to coordinate with businesses and social insurance agencies to propagate policies; guide workers to regularly check the insurance payment process, and promptly reflect when their rights are not guaranteed.

The conference contributed to strengthening coordination between trade union organizations, social insurance agencies and businesses, towards the goal of better ensuring social security rights for workers.
