Quang Tri Trade Union creates a forum for workers to express their aspirations

On October 17, the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) of Quang Tri province said that Dong Ha Ward Trade Union and Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union have just coordinated to organize the program "Listening to union members and workers speak".

Attending the program were representatives of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, leaders of the Party Committee of Nam Dong Ha ward, Dong Ha Grassroots Social Insurance, and union members and workers in the area.

The program aims to create a democratic and open forum for union members and workers to directly express their thoughts, aspirations, and reflect difficulties and obstacles in the working process and implementation of regimes and policies.

At the program, union members and workers were informed about the new points of the 2024 Law on Social Insurance and regulations related to health insurance and unemployment insurance.

The content of propaganda focuses on subjects, insurance participation responsibilities as well as the rights of employees according to legal regulations.

Notably, union members and workers were directly exchanged and asked questions about jobs, income, insurance regimes and Trade Union activities. Opinions and recommendations were received and summarized for consideration and answering according to regulations.

Within the framework of the program, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20, 2010 - October 20, 2026), units organized a thematic program "Female union members in the AI era - mastering technology, nurturing happy families".

The topic equips knowledge and skills to apply artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology to work, study, and manage time. At the same time, female union members are shared experiences in balancing work and life, taking care of themselves, and building happy families.

The activity aims to encourage female union members to actively access new technologies, improve skills, and adapt to job requirements in the digital age.

According to the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, the program "Listening to union members and workers speak" contributes to strengthening the connection between the Trade Union organization and union members and workers; promptly grasping difficulties and recommendations from the grassroots level.

Thereby, promoting the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
