Not fully understanding the role of the Trade Union organization

News from the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union, Da Nang city on October 14 said: The Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union coordinated with the grassroots Trade Union of Mai Doan Joint Stock Company to organize a meeting to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; propagate welfare policies and give gifts to female union members in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.

Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Phuc - Chairwoman of the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union said: Mai Doan Joint Stock Company currently has 252 employees, including 129 female employees. The grassroots trade union was established in 2023, currently has 150 union members.

However, the situation of labor fluctuations, a part of workers not clearly understanding the role of the Trade Union organization and the change of executive committee personnel are posing difficulties in maintaining operations and developing union members.

At the conference, the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union recorded many opinions and proposals related to Tet bonus regime, 13th month salary, organizing recreational activities, picnics, professional training and improving working conditions.

These contents are the basis for the Trade Union to grasp practical needs, identify issues that need to be proposed to businesses and choose appropriate care solutions.

Propagate welfare policies, care

At the conference, the Commune Trade Union propagated welfare policies, programs to care for union members and workers, including preferential loan policies for workers in difficult circumstances in Da Nang city.

At the same time, the Commune Trade Union exchanged views on the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; the ability to gather opinions to propose dialogue and negotiation on welfare and working conditions.

Workers are encouraged to contribute ideas to make Trade Union activities closer to practical needs. Concerns about union fees, the use of financial resources and fairness in accessing welfare are also included in the exchange content.

The Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union clarified the difference between general care activities and assistance when in difficulty; emphasizing that support should be based on specific circumstances, public criteria and conditions of each program.

On this occasion, the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union presented 15 gifts to female union members in difficult circumstances on the occasion of October 20th, showing concern and sharing with female workers.

After the conference, the Commune Trade Union continued to work with the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Mai Doan Joint Stock Company to unify key personnel, orient operations and implement propaganda and mobilization solutions to develop union members.
