12th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2018-2023 term
From September 24-26, 2018, the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2018 - 2023, solemnly took place at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.
Attending and directing the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Attending the Congress were leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, committees, ministries, branches and central organizations; Secretary, leaders of provinces and cities; Leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, through the periods and 946 delegates of the Congress were members of the Executive Committee of the incumbent General Confederation, the appointed delegates of a number of committees, ministries, branches and mass organizations, official delegates attending the congress of 20 central trade unions and corporations, corporations, 63 Labor Union of provinces and cities; with 7 international delegations.
Speaking at the direction of the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam affirmed: The 12th Vietnam Trade Union Congress is an important event in the political life of the working class of our country. Over nearly 90 years of establishment and development, led by the Party and Uncle Ho, the Vietnamese Trade Union has been constantly growing and growing and making worthy contributions to the great victory of the Vietnamese revolution. Trade Union always attaches blood and flesh with the working class, accompanies the people and the Communist Party of Vietnam, strives to build an independent Vietnam-Hoa-Binh-Deal; Rich people -strong - democracy - justice - civilization. The General Secretary assessed that, in the last XI term, the Vietnamese Trade Union had many content innovations and modes of operation. The union work and the worker movement have achieved comprehensive results, better meeting the legitimate needs and aspirations of union members, officials and employees. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also pointed out some points that are still inadequate and emphasize some notes with trade unions. At the same time, suggesting a number of issues for the Congress to discuss, consider and solve: Firstly: Focus on raising awareness and political bravery for workers, officials, bravery for workers and employees. Secondly, taking care of the legitimate interests of the union members and further performing the role of representing the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers in the new situation. Also in the meeting of the Congress, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met and dialogue with delegates attending the 12th Vietnam Trade Union Congress with the theme "Vietnam Trade Union accompanied with the Government to improve the national competitiveness and sustainable development of the country", the delegates expressed their aspirations, donation and determination of the determination of the Vietnamese Trade Union and the Government to strive to develop and develop the socio -economic development. The Prime Minister exchanged big issues, sent general messages from the heads of the Government to the Congress and all cadres, civil servants, officials, laborers and union members of the whole country. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc proposed to bring the program "Vietnam Trade Union to accompany the Government to improve the national competitiveness and sustainable development of the country" in the term of the term 2018-2023. The Presidium of the Congress has absorbed into the Resolution and assigned the XII Executive Committee to concretize the action program to implement the Resolution, and at the same time direct the implementation at the trade union levels.
With a high sense of responsibility, the Congress discussed at 12 centers on documents by the Executive Committee of the XIth term submitted to the Congress and issues posed to the current Trade Union organization, challenges and opportunities for Vietnam Trade Union organizations in general and convenient for officials and union members in particular. On that basis, the Presidium of the Congress has summarized, recorded and explained all the issues set by the delegates attending the XII Congress, thereby perfecting the direction and key tasks in the term of 2018-2023, and continuing to renovate the contents and methods of trade union activities.
The Congress approved the HR project, whereby the Congress agreed that the number of Executive Committee of the Vietnam Labor Federation Session XII, term 2018-2023 was 175 comrades, elected at the Congress was 161 comrades; The number of presidents consists of 27 comrades; The inspection committee consists of 17 comrades. With a high trust of 100% of the delegates attending the Congress elected 161 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Session XII, term 2018-2023.
At the first conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Session XII, the term 2018-2023 elected 22 comrades to the Presidium. Mr. Bui Van Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee was elected Chairman of VGCL, term 2018-2023. Comrades: Tran Thanh Hai, Tran Van Thuat, Ngo Duy Hieu, Phan Van Anh were elected Vice Chairman of the General Confederation. The conference also elected 16 comrades to the Inspection Committee. Mr. Ta Van Dong was elected as the Chairman of the Inspection Committee, term 2018-2023.
After 3 serious and effective working days with the spirit of "innovation, democracy, solidarity, responsibility", the 12th Vietnam Trade Union Congress has completed the proposed program and successfully success. 100% of the congress delegates voted through the Resolution of the 12th Vietnam Trade Union Congress with some important contents such as: Through the basic contents of the summary of the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Vietnam Trade Union Congress (2013-2018) and directions and directions of 5 years of 2018-2023, under which, the term 2018-2023, the trade union levels will focus on 3 breakthroughs, focus on 9 groups and focus on 9 groups of general groups; Through the review report of the Executive Committee of the VGCL Session XI; Through the charter of Vietnam Trade Union has been supplemented and amended; Through the election of the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee and the titles in the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee of the VGCL, XII, term 2018 - 2023.
The Congress called on cadres, civil servants, officials, workers and workers nationwide to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition of the working class and organization of Vietnam Trade Union; uphold the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and creativity, overcome difficulties, challenges, determination to successfully implement the Party's resolutions, build a strong working class and trade union organization, successfully implement the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress of the Party, contribute to the successful implementation of the goal of "rich people, strong, democratic, fair, civilized, firmly moving to socialism".
