Tuyen Quang launches Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026

Attending the launching ceremony were Ms. Le Thi Thanh Tra - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Trieu Tai Phong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; leaders of departments, agencies, branches and more than 900 union members, workers, and laborers in the area.

At the program, leaders of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Labor Federation reported on the employment situation, salaries, and lives of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the province.

Currently, the whole province has over 34,500 trade union members, of which nearly 28,000 are direct production workers at enterprises.

This is the core force, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality. The average income of workers reaches about 7.5 million VND/person/month; labor relations at enterprises are basically stable, there are no complicated labor disputes or collective work stoppages.

Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Workers' Month 2026 are implemented from May 1 to 31 with the themes: "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age" and "Vietnamese workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".

The activities aim to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases, improve working conditions. At the same time, take care of the material and spiritual life of workers, and build a modern and strong working class.

Tuyen Quang Provincial Labor Federation requests Party committees, authorities, businesses, and trade union organizations to continue to strengthen propaganda and raise awareness about occupational safety and health.

Implement well the motto "Production must ensure safety, only with safety can production be carried out"; pay attention to improving income, working conditions, and building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations.

At the program, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit to 28 outstanding and typical grassroots Trade Union Presidents in the work of dialogue, negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements in 2026.

51 union members and workers were awarded certificates of merit for outstanding initiatives and innovations in 2026; certificates of merit were awarded to 8 collectives and 28 individuals who are "advanced examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in the period 2023 - 2025".

Also on this occasion, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Labor Federation presented 300 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to workers who suffered from labor accidents, occupational diseases, and were in difficult circumstances.
