Da Nang - Through the "Hoa Khanh OCOP goes digital" program, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union innovates the method of caring for union members and workers.

Bringing local products to digital platforms

Caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers is a regular task of the Trade Union organization.

However, in the context of digital transformation, care activities should not only stop at visiting and supporting difficulties, but also need to have new ways of doing things that bring long-term benefits.

From that orientation, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union implemented the program "Hoa Khanh OCOP goes digital", connecting technology businesses with OCOP entities, supporting product promotion and consumption in the online environment.

The program was introduced at Hoa Khanh Trade Union Day - Connecting for Development, with the companionship of Ha Son Technology Co., Ltd.

According to the plan, 10 OCOP entities will be supported to build and operate free digital booths in the first year. The value of support for technology and services is equivalent to 70 million VND per booth.

This is a significant resource for local production and business establishments, especially those with limited human resources, funds and experience in accessing e-commerce.

Instead of having to find technological solutions themselves, OCOP entities have more conditions to build sales channels, introduce products and reach customers in the digital environment.

In the initial phase, the program strives to put 3 booths into operation before the end of 2026. Operating results will be evaluated to complete the model and move towards expansion in 2027.

According to Mr. Tra Thanh Quang - Chairman of Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union, the orientation of the program is to promote the connecting role of the Trade Union organization between businesses, technology solution providers and the network of union members and workers.

This is also the way Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union concretizes the emulation movement "Good labor - High productivity - Good income", linking efforts to improve labor productivity with the development of businesses and product consumption markets.

Towards the "Trade Union Market" serving union members

A noteworthy point is that the program "OCOP Hoa Khanh goes digital" is not implemented as a separate activity but is associated with the digital ecosystem that the Ward Trade Union is building.

This ecosystem includes Zalo Mini App "Digital Trade Union - Digital Union Member", AI Chatbot "Digital Assistant" and tools serving management, information provision and union member support.

On the existing platform, the Ward Trade Union orients to gradually integrate OCOP booths, creating more utilities to serve the shopping needs of workers.

Further, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union is researching and developing the function of "Trade Union Market", a place to connect businesses, production facilities and consumers who are union members and workers.

If implemented effectively, the model will bring benefits from both sides. Businesses have more channels to promote, expand markets and consume products. Meanwhile, union members have the opportunity to access goods more conveniently, especially to enjoy preferential price policies.

For many workers and laborers with limited incomes, saving a part of daily living expenses is also a practical form of care.

According to the orientation of Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union, the development of the "Trade Union Market" needs to be implemented step by step, based on the operating efficiency of the first booths and actual feedback from businesses and union members.

In addition, maintaining operation, updating products, and resolving customer feedback are equally important in building an initial foundation.

From 3 booths expected to operate in 2026 to the goal of supporting 10 OCOP entities and further to forming the "Trade Union Market", Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union is gradually seeking new ways of care in the digital age.

There, the Trade Union organization not only supports workers when they encounter difficulties but also proactively connects resources for businesses to develop, creating more conditions to stabilize jobs, improve income and reduce living expenses for union members.
